Customizing the X–Y plot axis range

Click the Scale tab to customize the range of the X- and Y-axes of an X–Y plot. By default, Abaqus/CAE computes the minimum and maximum axis values based on the minimum and maximum data points included in the plot.

  1. Locate the axis Max and Min options.

    Select OptionsXY OptionsAxis; or click , which is located with the X–Y plotting tools in the Visualization module toolbox. Click the Scale tab in the dialog box that appears.

    The Max and Min options appear in the middle of the Scale page.

  2. From the X Axis or Y Axis fields, highlight one or more axes.
  3. Enter a value in the Max field, or toggle on Auto-compute next to this field to set the maximum value for the selected axis or axes to the highest available data point.

    Abaqus/CAE updates the selected axis or axes.

  4. Enter a value in the Min field, or toggle on Auto-compute next to this field to set the minimum value for the selected axis or axes to the lowest available data point.

    Abaqus/CAE updates the selected axis or axes.

  5. Click Dismiss to close the Axis Options dialog box.
