- Create an overlay plot using the procedure described in Producing an overlay plot.
- Click in the Current column next to the layer that you want to modify.
- To change the model, open a new output database. (For more information, see Opening a model database or an output database.)
- To change the plot type, select a new plot type from the menu or from the plot tools in the toolbox.
- To change the plot state-independent or plot state-dependent customization options, select new options from any of the following dialog boxes:
For more information, see Using viewport annotation options, Selecting result options, or Customizing plot display.” Click OK or Apply in each dialog box to implement your changes in the current layer of the overlay plot. - You can synchronize the visible layers by clicking any of the icons under Layer Options in the Overlay Plot Layer Manager: View manipulation layer, Plot state layer, or Plot options layer.
- Change any of the animation options desired. For more information, see Object-based animation, and Controlling animation playback.
- Change the field output variable options desired. For more information, see Selecting field output variables.
- You can synchronize the field output variable options of the visible layers by clicking the icon next to Field Output layer.
- Repeat Step 2 through Step 8 for each layer that you wish to modify.
- With the overlay plot displayed in the viewport, you can click Plot Single in the Overlay Plot Layer Manager to exit the overlay plot state.
The overlay plot disappears from the viewport, and the display returns to the previous plot state; but the Overlay Plot Layer Manager remains open. Click Dismiss to close the Overlay Plot Layer Manager.
