This chapter explains the concept of overlaying plots and
how you can create and manage such plots.
By default,
Abaqus/CAE
displays only one plot at a time in the current viewport. A plot may display
multiple plot states, such as the contours and material orientations of the
same model. However, a single plot cannot display data from more than one
output database nor can it display both the model and an
X–Y plot in the same viewport. If you want to
display data in this fashion, you must overlay individual plots in the same
viewport.
