Saving the current model database to a new file with a different name

Select FileSave As from the main menu bar to save the current model database to a new file with a different name. If you deleted items from your model during the current session, using FileSave As may decrease the size of your file (for more information about compressing files, see Compressing the file size of the current model database). From the Save Model Database As dialog box that appears, enter a new name for the model database and click OK. If you omit the file extension, Abaqus/CAE appends .cae to the file name.
