Adding Submodels Using the Model Explorer

You can use the model explorer to add submodels to the simulation process flow, which allows Isight to automatically add and configure a Reference component for the submodel. This method is useful for quick integration of a submodel, where no parameter changes in the Reference component are necessary. If desired, you can access the Reference Component Editor after it is added.

Alternatively, you can use the Reference component to add submodels. For more information, see Adding Submodels Using the Reference Component Editor.

Before you begin: Ensure that you have created the submodel prior to adding it to the simulation process flow (see Creating a Submodel).
  1. From the Design Gateway’s model explorer, right-click the submodel that you want to add, and select Copy.
  2. Right-click the simulation process flow arrow that represents the location for the submodel, and select Paste Reference.

    Isight adds the submodel to the simulation process flow.

  3. If desired, save the model.
