Job Definition Overview

A SIMULIA Tosca Fluid optimization job consists of four basic elements.

The basic elements of an optimization job are illustrated in the figure below:



The optimization job needs as prerequisite a CFD model to operate with, that is, a CFD model that is intended to be optimized. Secondly, the optimization problem needs to be defined in a so-called parameter file. Finally the optimization job needs a configuration containing runtime settings.

Note: The fourth element in namely the job directory is not a prerequisite for a SIMULIA Tosca Fluid optimization. The job directory is created by SIMULIA Tosca Fluid in the working directory when SIMULIA Tosca Fluid is executed. Nevertheless the job directory is uniquely associated with the optimization job.
