Job Configuration

This chapter explains the job definition of an optimization job.

The job configuration consists of three files:

  1. A configuration file for the computational nodes (nodes.cfg)
  2. A SIMULIA Tosca Fluid configuration file (tfluid.cfg, optional)
  3. A CFD solver configuration file (solver.cfg, optional)

The first file nodes.cfg is mandatory for parallel operation if no batch system is used.

The second file tfluid.cfg is optional. It is used to configure specific job settings. If no tfluid.cfg file is found in the working directory, the installation default file and - if present - the user specific configuration file in the user's root directory are used.

The third file solver.cfg (optional) can be used to configure additional CFD solvers. Details on how to configure CFD solvers in a solver.cfg file can be found in of the Commands Manual.
