You can control the precision of element output for an Abaqus/Standard analysis. You can control the precision of nodal output for an Abaqus/Standard or Abaqus/Explicit analysis.

Input File Usage

Use the following command line option to request single-precision element output in Abaqus/Standard or to request single-precision nodal output:

abaqus job=job-name output_precision=single

Use the following command line option to request double-precision element output in Abaqus/Standard or double-precision nodal output:

abaqus job=job-name output_precision=full

Abaqus/CAE Usage

Job module: job editor: Precision: Nodal output precision: Single or Full

You cannot control the precision of element output in Abaqus/CAE.
