You can delete
Abaqus
native meshes throughout entire parts, part instances, or just within selected
regions.
To delete a mesh, select either
MeshDelete Part Native
Mesh,
MeshDelete Instance Native
Mesh, or
MeshDelete Region Native
Mesh from the main menu bar.
Note:
Deleting a mesh does not cause the underlying seeds to be
deleted, so you can modify the seeding pattern and regenerate the mesh.
From the main menu bar, select
either MeshDelete Part Native
Mesh,
MeshDelete Instance Native
Mesh, or
MeshDelete Region Native
Mesh.
Abaqus/CAE displays prompts
in the prompt area to guide you through the procedure.
Tip:
You can also delete meshes using the
or
tools, located with the mesh tools in the
Mesh module
toolbox. (For more information, see
Using the Mesh module toolbox.)
Do one of the following:
If you are deleting a part mesh, click Yes
from the prompt area to confirm that you want to delete the mesh.
If you are deleting region meshes from a part or an assembly,
select the regions from which to delete the mesh. Click mouse button 2 to
indicate that you have finished selecting. (For more information on selecting

If you are deleting instance meshes from the assembly, select the
instances from which to delete the mesh. Click mouse button 2 to indicate that
you have finished selecting. (For more information on selecting objects, see
