From the Sampling Options screen or the Error
Analysis Sampling Options screen, click Browse
to locate the file that you want to use.
The Select File dialog box appears.
-
Locate the file, and click Select.
The file name appears in the text box.
-
Specify the type of file you selected:
-
Static file. Select this option if the data in
the file never changes. The file will be read once and saved in memory
for future use.
Note:
If you later access the Approximation Wizard
to view the approximation you are creating, the Re-read File
option is activated. Clicking Re-read File allows
the wizard to scan the file for changes since it was first read and placed
into memory.
-
Dynamic file. Select this option if the data
in the file can change. The file will be read prior to every initialization.
If you are executing the model on a SIMULIA Execution Engine,
the file must be accessible through the absolute path or shared file
system. For more information, see Creating a SIMULIA Execution Engine Connection Profile.
-
File parameter. Select this option to force Isight
to create a preconfigured file parameter named Initialization
Data for <Approx_Name>
in the component. You can map this file parameter to receive data from
another component at run time. The approximation uses this data for initialization.
