Importing Functions from the Library

By default, string functions are provided in the Calculator Component Editor.

You can also define additional functions from the Library, or you can add functions through plug-ins. For more information, see About Plug-Ins in the Isight Development Guide. Contact your SIMULIA technical support representative for additional assistance.

Note: Deleting the #import statement removes the additional functions.

  1. Double-click the Calculator component icon .
    The Calculator Component Editor appears.
  2. From the Calculator Component Editor, click Import.

    If you are working in collapsed mode, click Functions and select Import.

    The Import Additional Functions dialog box appears.

  3. Click the check box next to the functions that you want to import.

    You can import more than one group of functions into an expression.

    After you select a group of functions, you can view details of the functions it defines on the right side of the dialog box.

  4. Click OK.

    Isight adds the #import statements list to the beginning of the expression.
