Correcting the Error in the Analysis Model

If the results file of the FE program has not been generated, the following error message appears: Error message

Locate the Error

  1. Validate the analysis model using a simple FE analysis (not using optimization-specific entries)
  2. Check if all necessary files for the optimization have been created (for example, op2 file from MSC Nastran®) and check the optimization-specific entries in the analysis model. vol.2 chapter 11 gives a description of the required FE program-specific settings.

Correct the Error

Modify the analysis model.

Note: In topology optimization in combination with MSC Nastran®, the solver might stop due to problems with the pivot ratio of the stiffness matrices.

This could be solved (see Files and Formats) by changing the MAXRATIO parameter in the bulk data section of the input file like, for example: PARAM,MAXRATIO,10.E10
