About the Model Development Sequence

In most cases you follow a series of steps to create a model in Isight.

The process of creating and executing a model in Isight consists of the following basic steps:

  1. Create a new empty model. See Creating a New Model.
  2. Add components to the simulation process flow. See Adding Components to the Simulation Process Flow.
  3. Configure the components. See the Isight Component Guide.
  4. Optionally, you can set model property options. See Setting Model Properties.
  5. Define and map parameters. See About Parameters and File Parameters.
  6. Execute the model. See Executing Models.
  7. View the results using the Runtime Gateway. You can do the following from the Runtime Gateway:
    • View input and output parameter values
    • Create graphs and tables of results for a selected component
