Selecting the Input File and Parameters

Double-click the Madymo component icon .
The Madymo Component Editor appears.
From the Madymo Component Editor, click the Input tab.
Select the XML File (.xml).
1. Click Browse.
2. Navigate to the .xml file, and click Open.
Click Ignore Non-Existent Included Files if the included files do not exist at the location specified in the Madymo input file.
Click Read File.
The component creates XML Viewer, Include Files, User Defined Value, and FunctionXY subtabs; and the XML Viewer subtab appears.

The File Parameter list displays the input file parameters.
View the contents of the XML file.
You can see the original contents of the file.
If you make any changes to this file, click Updated to view the updated contents; the updated file will be used to locate included files and create parameters.

You cannot edit the file contents from this subtab.
View the contents of the included files.
1. Click the Include Files subtab.
  The included files are listed on the left side of the subtab.
2. Select a file to view its contents.
  The contents of the selected included file appear. You can see the original contents of the file.
  If you make any changes to this file, click Updated to view the updated contents; the updated file will be used to create parameters.
  You cannot edit the file contents from this subtab.
Specify user defined values.
1. Click the User Defined Value subtab.
  The parameters present in the DEFINE tag in the main .xml file appear. By default, the parameters TIME_END and TIME_STEP are added to Isight.
2. If desired, edit the values of the TIME_END and TIME_STEP parameters by entering a value in the corresponding fields.
3. Select the parameters by doing any of the following.
  - Click the check box to select an individual parameter.
  - Click Check to select all the parameters.
  - Click Uncheck to clear the selected parameters.
4. Add the selected parameters to the table at the bottom of the editor.
  The parameters in this table can be used in your Isight model.
  Click to add the selected parameters to the table
  Click to remove the selected parameters from the table.
5. If desired, edit the parameter value.
Select the function parameters.
1. Click the FunctionXY subtab.
  You can create Scale and Array parameters.
  The functions, their X-Y data, and the graph appear.
2. Click the desired function.
  Its X-Y data and the graph appear.
3. Create Scale parameters.
  - Click Scale.
  - Click the desired function.
  - Click a row in the X-Y data area to select a single X-Y data.
    You can right-click the X-Y data to select single or multiple rows in the X-Y data table. Then click on Accept Selection. If you selected multiple rows, the starting and ending positions are displayed in the StartPos and EndPos fields.
  - If desired, edit the X Scale and Y Scale values.
4. Add the selected parameters to the table at the bottom of the editor.
  The parameters in this table can be used in your Isight model.
  Click to add the selected parameters to the table.
  Click to remove the selected parameters from the table.
  This table shows the name of the function, the name of the parameter in Isight, whether it is an X or Y parameter, and the value of the parameter.
5. Create Array parameters.
  - Click Array.
  - Click the desired function.
  - Select X axis if you want to create a parameter with X data, and click Y axis if you want to create a parameter with Y data.
6. Add the selected parameters to the table at the bottom of the editor.
  The parameters in this table can be used in your Isight model.
  Click to add the selected parameters to the table.
  Click to remove the selected parameters from the table.
  This table shows the name of the function, the name of the parameter in Isight, whether it is an X or Y parameter, and the value of the parameter.
7. If desired, edit the parameter value.
Click OK to close the editor and to return to the Design Gateway.
