Editing Name/Value Format Data Linked to a Parameter

You can edit the data linked to a parameter in a Name/Value data source. You can also add a new parameter and link it to existing data. The Name/Value format can read/write only one item at a time. You can also apply a section format to the value of a Name/Value item.

You cannot write new entries into a Name/Value section. You can read or write only the value of an existing Name/Value item.

  1. Double-click the Data Exchanger component icon .
    The Data Exchanger Component Editor appears.
  2. From the Data Exchanger Component Editor, select a Name/Value section.
  3. In the Details Swipe area, determine how you want to locate the item in your text file.
    OptionDescription
    Name Select the name from the list.
    Item # Select the item from the list.
  4. In the Parameter list, enter or select a parameter.

    If you create a new parameter, it is added to the Parameters table on the right side of the editor. If you choose an existing parameter, the parameter is highlighted in the table.

  5. Click OK to save your changes and to close the Data Exchanger Component Editor.
