Performing a Basic Swipe

A basic swipe involves highlighting a portion of text in your file and mapping it to a parameter.

  1. Double-click the Data Exchanger component icon .
    The Data Exchanger Component Editor appears.
  2. From the Data Exchanger Component Editor, click or swipe the data in the text file.

    For more information about the differences about clicking and swiping, see Highlighting Data.

  3. In the Parameter list, enter the parameter that corresponds to the information from the text file.
  4. Click Read or Write, as desired.

    The parameter is added to the Parameters table on the right side of the editor.

  5. Click OK to save your changes and to close the Data Exchanger Component Editor.
