Configuring Design and Execution Options

You can use the Advanced tab to set the design and execution options.

  1. Double-click the ANSYS Workbench component icon .
The ANSYS Workbench Component Editor appears.
  2. From the ANSYS Workbench Component Editor, click the Advanced tab.
  3. Set the following Design Options:
    OptionDescription
Create in model file parameters Store the input files in the Isight (.zmf) model.
Use Custom Script Use custom Python scripts to customize the input into the component and the output generated by the component. These Python script files should be placed in your work directory where the selected .wbpj file is present. You have to select this option before selecting the input project file.

For information on custom scripts, see About Using Scripts.

  4. Set the following Execution Options:
    OptionDescription
Show ANSYS Workbench during execution Launch ANSYS Workbench as a foreground process.

You can view the changes taking place in the ANSYS Workbench model during execution.

Reuse ANSYS Workbench Process Reuse ANSYS Workbench processes to improve performance.

You can select the checkbox to keep ANSYS Workbench processes alive even after completion of an execution run of the component. Such ANSYS Workbench processes will be reused for future runs. Note that, only Isight-managed ANSYS Workbench processes will be reused. Manually launched ANSYS Workbench processes cannot be reused.

Time Out Enter a value (in seconds) to specify how long to wait for execution before determining that execution failed.

The default value is 300 seconds.

  5. Click OK to save your changes and to return to the Design Gateway.
