About FEA Noise Check Execution Results

When the FEA Noise Check option is executed for an Abaqus component, noise levels and warnings are displayed on the Runtime Gateway’s Summary tab. Noise levels that exceed 0.2 are highlighted (in yellow), and a warning message appears stating that you should check the model physics for accuracy or modeling errors.

After execution, the Abaqus component displays the noise level for each output in the subflow on the Summary tab. These values are also stored in a results aggregate parameter, which is accessible from the Runtime Gateway Parameters tab. The noise level is calculated as the fraction of the time that the local slope of an output parameter changes sign across the parameter scan.

Tip: To create a visual representation of the noise levels, you can create history graphs for the parameters. If you want to compare important noise analysis input and output parameters, you can create corresponding line graphs. All graphs are created using the Runtime Gateway’s Graphs tab.

For more information on the Summary tab and how to create history graphs, see Viewing and Analyzing Results in the Isight User’s Guide.
