Adding Components to the Component Palette

You can add components to the component palette so that they are easily accessible when you are creating models.

For more information on using components, refer to the Isight Component Guide.

  1. From the Design Gateway, click the Sim-flow tab.
  2. Click the tab where you want to add the component.
  3. Do one of the following:

    • On the right side of the tab, click Add.

    • On the Design Gateway toolbar, click the Library button.

    • From the View menu, select Library.

    The Library dialog box appears.

  4. Navigate to the folder that contains the component that you want to add.

    Note: To access a SIMULIA-supplied component, click SIMULIA Components on the left side of the dialog box.

  5. Click the component to select it.
  6. Do one of the following:

    • Click Add to Palette, or click the Add button. The component is added to the tab that you selected in Adding Components to the Component Palette. You can move the Library dialog box to verify that the component was added to the Design Gateway.

    • Drag and drop the component from the Library dialog box to the desired tab on the Design Gateway. You may need to move the Library dialog box to see the location where you want to drop the component.

  7. Click Close to exit the Library dialog box.
